Is it just us or does summer feel like a non-stop Bank Holiday? We’re loving all this extra time off to enjoy the sunshine and we can’t wait to plan some family fun this August 27th. If you’re looking for something to entertain your little ones (or even your big ones) here are some of our favourite Bank Holiday things happening across the country.
Be Entertained at the Devizes International Street Festival
Packed with street performers, circus acts, artists, musicians, and dancers, this colourful festival has something to dazzle all the family. Moving to the Market Place on the Bank Holiday Monday, the festival also has plenty of local pop up food stalls to keep little tummies from rumbling.
Have a Beach Day in the City at Neverland London
A tropical paradise in the heart of the metropolis, Neverland is now called the Fulham Beach Club and can be found on Albert Wharf from the 3rd of May to the 1st of September. The perfect Bank Holiday day out, the summer wonderland features pastel beach huts, white sand, palm trees, BBQs, yoga sessions, face painters, and plenty of beach games. Even better – under 10s go free!
Make a Weekend of it and Head to Victorious Festival
For families who love their music, there’s nothing more fun than a festival adventure. Portsmouth’s Victorious is especially family friendly, with a special Kids Arena showcasing performances from TV favourites like Cook and Line from Swashbuckle, as well as meet and greets with the likes of Paddington Bear and Finn and Jake from Adventure Time.
Befriend an Alpaca at the Lakes Distillery
Got some animal lovers in the house? They’ll be thrilled with a Bank Holiday trip to Keswick’s Lake Distillery to meet the Alpacaly Ever After herd! Feed and stroke the baby alpacas or take the summer’s best selfie on this adorable tour.
