We don’t know about you but this winter has felt like a particularly long one to us. While we loved all the Instagrammable snow, we’re in the mood for something altogether warmer and sunnier now! Which has got us thinking about the perfect spring breaks for families – here are a few of our dream destinations for 2018:

Cornwall

With its blue seas and sunny spring climes, Cornwall feels like a world away from the rest of the UK. Best of all, there are plenty of options for short family breaks. Fancy camping by the beach? Trevornick has great facilities for families and is just a short drive from Newquay where there’s plenty to do with kids if they get bored of sea swimming.

Crete

If you’re after some early sun, Crete’s microclimate means it gets one of the earliest springs in the Mediterranean. Heraklion has plenty of family-friendly resorts plus loads of water parks, theme parks, and ancient historic sites that little ones will love to explore.

The Canary Islands

With temperatures ranging from 15° to 23° in spring, the Canary Islands are perfect for an Easter preview of summer sun. Flight times are just three to four hours and both Tenerife and Lanzarote have hotels and resorts built entirely around family and kids – making these islands the ideal destination for a short family spring break.

Copenhagen

City breaks don’t always have to be adult-only. If you’re after a short holiday that’s not too far flung, look to Copenhagen and its fairytale magic for a child-friendly city break. From the zoo and the children’s museums to the huge Tivoli Gardens amusement park, there’s plenty to do in this city that both parents and kids will enjoy.

Center Parcs

If you’re after a weekend break with loads of activities to keep little ones entertained, look no further than Center Parcs. From swimming and climbing to horse-riding, archery, badminton, and rollerblading, Center Parcs offers plenty of outdoor and indoor activities for kids whatever the weather – plus saunas, jacuzzis, and spas for mum and dad. There are six different Parcs around the country so you shouldn’t have to travel too far to your nearest one either.
