(Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm)

If like us you’re wondering where the last few weeks went and it’s time to get organised for the kids going back to school, you may need a little hand getting prepared. Whether you’re packing your little one off for their first day at school, or have been through the start of term stress of dragging them out of their beds before, we have put together a helpful checklist of all the things you’re likely to need.

A lot of us make the common mistake of thinking that our children will be able to fit in last terms uniform, but unfortunately that’s not always the case – how have they grown another 5 inches!?

Here are 5 key pieces to shop for:

  • Trousers and/or skirt
  • Comfortable shoes
  • PE kit with plimsolls and socks
  • School jumper or blazer
  • Coat (it’s surprising how quickly the winter months come around!)

School Supplies

Some schools often recommend certain products and stationary for your child to use in order to fit in with the teaching method they use. This can all add up, so it’s worth getting in touch with your child’s school to ask exactly what it is they will need.

Here is a list of supplies they usually require:

  • Pen
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Pencil case to keep the supplies in
  • Rubber
  • Pencil sharpener

Extra Essentials

And then, of course there are those added extras. The little things that we sometimes leave until the last minute!

  • Lunch box
  • Book bag – these are usually sold by the school
  • Name labels
  • Water bottle
  • School bag to carry everything in
